MANCOP
This is the result of a film festival in Orlando, my first true short film. The premise of the contest was to shoot and edit a film in 36 hours or less, and at the beginning of the time limit those in charge would dispense a random genre that we must adhere to, as well as a prop and a line of dialogue that must be present.
This was a learning experience like no other. After finally settling on what ended up being the first idea we came up with, we ran into problem after problem. The entire slow of the film was changed, and actually ended up working better. What we decided on was that the movie should be an episode in a series. Not in the sense that we would make a series, but that theoretically there would be more. Maybe it was a cop out to escape coming up with a full story, but no matter, it worked.
I think the most amazing thing to me is still that we did all of this in such a short time frame. Not only was I awake for about 41 hours, doing non-stop work, but (for example) my good friend Kyle created the soundtrack in that time as well, working with us remotely as we discussed what type of music we needed for each scene.
Special thanks to Parke, Liz, Joe, Misha, Nick, Dom, Brandon, Kyle, Veronica, Ashley, Jay, Matt, and Cindy. Original music by Inelex / Zerocaliber (Kyle).
