ERUPTION
My first assignment for “Assembling Digital Media” at UCF in Summer of 2004. We had to make a music video, something that wasn’t foreign to me in the least. However, due to what I can only assume is the obvious complexity that would thwart every single student from being able to acquire a camcorder and shoot video footage to match up to music, the medium of still photos was suggested.
The professor showed us a few examples of past projects, none of which were anything above “I Google’d 400 low-quality images” to “here are a bunch of pictures of my last frat party to a punk song.” I decided to do something, well, remotely meaningful and challenging. What you will see here is essentially a stop-motion animation, done with digital photographs.
Special thanks to Matt, Mike, and Jonathan.
Music by E. S. Posthumus.
